Mörk Borg DM screen

I can talk to you about everything bad and 2020 but I prefer to focus on the good things. Mörk Borg is one of them. I missed the Kickstarter but I was able to buy a copy directly from the authors, I definitively was not able to wait the retail options. I can talk to you ten hours about the game and how the layout is great and how everything is good as hell, however if you know nothing about the game, it is maybe better to go here.

I want to start to play the game online as a DM soon and even if you don't even need a DM screen to run Mörk Borg, I needed one, because... I needed one. No official screen is available, so I had to do it by myself. Pictures are better that a long explanation. Not a vegan article.

Music that helped : Proclamation, Havohej, Profanatica.

Weathering with fire.

Used leather and did some cuts.

Time to add some stitches.

Transfer of the logo on leather.

Burned the leather.

Airbrushing to add some volume.

Time to add some text from the book.

Attached the boards with a basic rope and added some magnets.

New builds

I planned to play Bolt Action and I decided to make some small terrains very quickly. I took the Proxxon, some foam, some old stuff and at the end of the day, it happened.

Cleaning brushes

No matter what, expensive or inexpensive brushes, if you want to keep them long, you have to clean them regularly. You can buy dedicated products or you can use also a product you already use to clean your hands (for 20 seconds).

Castille soap from Dr Bronner is my favorite when it is about cleaning my hands and my brushes. You can dilute the liquid soap or not. You can just use the soap and massage the bristles of the brush until the result you like or let soak overnight. I used to buy Winsor & Newton Brush Cleaner and Restorer and it is a good option too but to be honest, I see no difference.

On the pictures attached you can see a brush I use for at least 6 years for washes before and after soap. It is not new but ready to brush for month. That works on natural and synthetic bristles.

Remember a cleaner / restorer will never repair the tip!

Another piece of terrain

April month of the foam? certainly for me. It's been a while I wanted more buildings for my tabletop. Nothing specific here or really historic. I am pleased with the final result. I planned to do 2 to 3 more. Please find some pictures of the process and the final result. I planned nothing for this build, all on the fly.
