Herald of agony
I bought this miniature a few months ago and decided to paint this Herald of agony in a grimdark style. I also wanted to try my home-brew oil washes. The work is still in progress. I used an acrylic base with my airbrush with a very cold beige, a very dark grey/brown on the cape, and pure black on the hair. For the mitre, I used Vallejo gold Alcohol-Base. I really liked this line of metallics in the past, but I found them less easy to work with when they turned old. For the steel, I used Pro-Acryl dark silver. I applied some dark-tone Army Painter acrylic wash to mute the metals. I decided to airbrush the arms with some carroburg crimson, and then I applied my oil washes. The red on the hands was not intense enough, so I used some X27 and X19 by Tamiya. The base is not as detailed as I wanted, but I decided not to focus on it as this miniature was more of a fun project to enjoy the grimdark process. I will post the end result soon.

Muskets and Tomahawks terrain
The first post of 2025 is about Musket and Tomahawk's terrain. I spent a few hours crafting some decor to start playing the game. Most of the material is foam, I used my Proxxon and a glue gun for most of the work. I also had access to some Dungeons by Hand for the shingles. The fences are made of craft and bing matches sticks. The Native American village was more challenging, I had to do some research about Northern East Coast Native American longhouses and wigwams, and it took me some time to decide which technique would be the best again, I decided to use foam to simulate the bark. Some STL files are around but my goal was to use only the material I had on hand and to use my brain. Overall, it is ok, I had to compromise.
